Why We Care

I’ve spent the last 24 hours thinking about what I can possibly say about the George Floyd tragedy that will be meaningful, and not come across as inauthentic clichés.

I am deeply disturbed and simply want to say what the executive team and I have been saying for the last several months: You matter. Regardless.

You matter, regardless of the color of your skin, your gender, your nationality, your religion, your sexual preferences, your age, your level of education, where you grew up, and your disabilities.

You matter to me, to our executive team, and to each other. Regardless.

During these horrible times, and always, as a team we will show respect to everyone, always. We will exhibit courtesy and kindness to everyone, always. We will demonstrate compassion and understanding to everyone, always. We will listen without judgment to everyone, always. Regardless.

It has been a hard three months and emotions are running high. If you need help, please reach out. The executive team and I are here for you. I want you to know that we are listening.

To that end, we have set-up an email address, whywecare@logisticare.com, and we want to hear from you. We want to learn of your stories of how discrimination and racism have impacted you, and how you have overcome. We want to hear how we can help you feel heard. We want your stories to help create the desperate changes that we need in our country and world.
