LogistiCare began managing Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for about 467,000 Mississippi recipients in November 2006 under a contract with the Division of Medicaid.
LogistiCare's selection by Mississippi inaugurated the state's adoption of a full-risk, capitated broker model to help contain NEMT program costs.
LogistiCare's Mississippi call center/network operations center is located in Jackson and employs 42 customer service representatives, managers and other NEMT professionals.
LogistiCare also operates a regional office in Oxford. It has a staff of 11. The office gives LogistiCare an additional presence in the state, enabling us to be closer to more of the eligible recipients we serve.
