ATLANTA, July 14, 2005 – LogistiCare is pleased to announce that John Walraven has joined the company as government affairs manager. He reports to Ray Williams, senior vice president of public affairs.
Walraven comes to LogistiCare with nearly 10 years of government relations experience at both the state and federal levels. His professional background includes a broad sample of political arena experience, including corporate representation and lobbying, managing statewide campaigns with non-profits and working as a government staff member.
In his new role, Walraven will assist with management of local, state and federal government relations efforts. More specifically, his duties will include coordinating all legislative tracking, campaign finance and ethics reporting. Walraven also will help manage contract lobbyists nationwide and provide direction and support on operational and constituent services related to grassroots politics.
Walraven joined LogistiCare from his most recent role as legal counsel for the Georgia House Ethics and Health Committees, a position he held from January 2005 through April.
Walraven earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Georgia Southern University in 1996, and he is a May 2004 graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
