LOGISTICARE FOUNDATION BEGINS PURSUIT
OF CHARITABLE MISSION

ATLANTA, Jan. 24, 2005 – LogistiCare is pleased to announce the formation of the LogistiCare Foundation Inc. As a private foundation, its mission is to increase access to transportation for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and persons living in poverty.

A board of directors will govern the Foundation. Doug Towne, executive liaison of Disability Relations Group Inc. is the Foundation board chairman. Other board members include, secretary, M. Chinta Gaston, general counsel for LogistiCare Solutions; treasurer, Joseph Handy, principal, Joseph P. Handy, CPA, PLC; and Anne Shermyen, a retired researcher and public administrator, and currently an active community volunteer.

“I am extremely pleased to have the Foundation up and running,” said John Shermyen, president and chief executive officer of LogistiCare. “Through our existing community outreach, we already do a lot of great things as an organization to help the communities in which we operate. The leadership of the Foundation will now be able to take all those efforts to the next level.”

Chanda Forsythe has been named program director and will manage the Foundation’s day-to-day operations. Ms. Forsythe brings with her a wealth of experience in public relations, community relations and foundation work from her tenure with the State Farm Insurance Companies and First Alert/BRK Brands.

“Chanda’s demonstrated commitment to community activities makes her a natural fit for this role,” added Shermyen.

“I’m excited to help the LogistiCare Foundation further its mission of serving the transportation disadvantaged,” said Forsythe. “We’re looking to develop some great relationships and really help to make a difference in people’s lives.”

The LogistiCare Foundation is recognized as a private charitable foundation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
