Herman M. Schwarz

Chief Executive Officer

Herman M. Schwarz is LogistiCare's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with direct oversight of the company's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. Mr. Schwarz became CEO in May 2009 after managing all field operations as the company's Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Schwarz has over 20 years of experience and proven skills in profit and loss accountability, strategy development, operations management, financial management, merger and acquisitions activity, sales and marketing leadership, application of public company requirements including Board of Director participation, and investor relations.

Before joining LogistiCare in 2007, Mr. Schwarz was the founder and partner of C3 Marketplace LLC, a buying service and sourcing venture that delivers cost effective sourcing from Asia to small and medium sized retailers and manufacturers. Other previous executive positions include President and CEO with Aegis Communications Group Inc., the country's seventh largest publicly-traded provider of outsourced call center services; various senior roles with Elrick & Lavidge, the marketing research division of Aegis; National Service Industries; Selig Industries and National Linen Service.

Mr. Schwarz holds a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Virginia. Mr. Schwarz is a member of the Georgia State University Marketing Roundtable.

Albert Cortina

Chief Administrative Officer

Albert Cortina is LogistiCare's Chief Administrative Officer. He has direct oversight of all contract compliance, pricing, network development, program implementation, risk management, financial, and human resources functions. He also provides important input into the company's business development and growth strategies.

Mr. Cortina has been integrally involved in the growth of LogistiCare since 1997. He served as the company's Chief Operating Officer for several years and its Controller previously. Mr. Cortina played a key role in developing the management procedures used by all LogistiCare operations today to deliver high quality, affordable, medical transportation services. His input was important in the development of the company's proprietary management software LogistiCAD™, which so effectively integrates all aspects of NEMT operations.

Mr. Cortina came to LogistiCare after holding executive positions at Premier Practice Management, a physician practice management organization; and its successor, Caremark/MedPartners Physicians Services Inc. Mr. Cortina's professional career began at the Georgia Department of Audits Medicaid Division, where he conducted Medicaid health and cost report audits on nursing homes, home health agencies and rural hospitals.

Mr. Cortina earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Florida State University, and he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Rob Cornell

Chief Information Officer

Robert Cornell is LogistiCare's Chief Information Officer. Mr. Cornell is a software developer with more than 20 years of experience developing commercial software applications and hardware products. His responsibilities include developing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of LogistiCare as well as the development and enhancement of the company's proprietary data management system - LogistiCAD™.

Mr. Cornell supervises the teams responsible for reporting encounter data to our clients and for software development and modifications. He is directly responsible for troubleshooting any system issues that arise and works directly with LogistiCare clients to ensure that all data requirements are met.

During his 20 years in the computer industry, Mr. Cornell's expertise and specialization has been in the development, implementation, and support of software applications and network systems. Mr. Cornell has a proven track record in directing and managing technical resources to deliver projects on time and under budget. Additionally, Mr. Cornell is highly effective in communicating with non-technical personnel from senior executives to clients and their front line personnel.

Prior to joining LogistiCare, Mr. Cornell held senior technical and managerial positions with Wang Laboratories and Automatic Data Processing.

Mr. Cornell holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois.

Ken Piehl

Executive Vice President of Business Development

Ken Piehl is an experienced executive with 30 years of senior management responsibility. In his current role he oversees LogistiCare's business development efforts that include governmental affairs, the cultivation of new state contracts, the renewal of existing NEMT state contracts, proposal development and the expansion of our transportation management processes into commercial applications.

Mr. Piehl brings a foundation in operations to the business development role through his prior position as LogistiCare's Vice President of Operations. In that role he had P&L responsibility and oversaw state operations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Arizona, Nevada and California. Mr. Piehl managed the start-up of our Arizona Managed Care call center and was aligned with sales in implementing operations in Hawaii, New Mexico and nationwide with our Medicare product. Mr. Piehl has extensive experience in transportation operations in several industries and has developed skills in organizational right-sizing, strategy development, security and risk management, and organizational development.

Before joining LogistiCare, Mr. Piehl worked for National Service Industries as Senior Vice President of Administration, where he was instrumental in aligning the operations with a strategic turnaround plan and in eliminating expense while maintaining high service levels.

He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University.

Chinta Gaston

General Counsel

Chinta Gaston is LogistiCare's Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. She is responsible for all legal matters relevant to the company including contracting, litigation, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Gaston supervises the in-house counsel staff, manages relations with outside counsel, advises human resources, and oversees the company's compliance function. Ms. Gaston joined the company as outside counsel in 1999 and assumed her current position in 2003.

Prior to joining LogistiCare, Ms. Gaston was a managing director of Kroll Associates in New York City where she served as a compliance advisor to numerous companies and directed many internal corporate investigations. From 1992 to 1997 Ms. Gaston served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the Southern District of New York. In that capacity, she represented federal agencies in a wide variety of areas including international public law, constitutional law, and regulatory and business issues.

Ms. Gaston began her legal career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York City where she specialized in employment and other civil litigation for clients in the healthcare, finance, media and accounting industries.

Ms. Gaston received a bachelor's degree with honors in Linguistics from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Virginia and New York
